CAN DECALS BE REMOVED?

Yes. While your decal has a permanent adhesive that will last for many years, it should come off simply by peeling it off, beginning at the upper left or right corner and proceeding to slowly remove it. Decals that have been in place for more than 6 months may take slightly more force to remove or require the use of a plastic razor.

HOW DO YOU APPLY DECALS?

First, check your surface temperature. The temperature of your surface should be 50 – 90°F. Application outside the recommended temperature range reduces the chances that your vinyl will adhere properly. (Hint: If the surface is hot to the touch, it’s more than 90° and you should wait until the surface cools, or if possible, move the vehicle to the shade.)

USE THE "HINGE" METHOD TO APPLY MASKED DECALS
Use masking tape on the corners to position the decal. (Figure 1)
Apply masking tape through the center of the decal. (Figure 2)
Remove the holding tape from one end. (Figure 3)
Lift that half of the decal up and remove the backing liner. Cut the liner with scissors, and discard it. (Figure 4)

Holding the decal away from the surface, use a squeegee to press the vinyl to the surface, working from the masking tape toward the edge. Remove all other masking tape. Repeat on the other side.

 

HOW LONG DO DECALS LAST?

Each decal is different but the average life span is usually 5-9 yrs for car & trailer decals.

DO THE DECALS GO ON THE INSIDE OF OUTSIDE OF THE WINDOW?

Our decals are created to be applied to the outside.

ARE DECALS THE SAME AS A STATIC CLING?

No. Decals have an adhesive material which makes for a stronger and more lasting sign. Clings have no adhesive side, rather they attach through the static charge of the sign itself and the window.

WHAT IF I CAN’T FIND WHAT I WANT?

If you can’t find the exact decal you want, simply CONTACT US with your ideas/images for a free quote. We will take your information and create a proof. From one color to full color, 3 inches to 3 feet, we can and will customize your decal the way you want it.

CAN I WASH MY DECAL?

Yes. Decals may be washed with normal soap and water by hand. They are also safe for most automated car washes. Use care if high-pressure cleaning in a “do-it-yourself” carwash and hold the pressure washer no closer than 12” to your truck decals and decal.

CAN I STILL USE MY REAR WIPER?

We try and stay away from the area that the wiper blades will pass over when installing.

MY REAR WINDOW IS TINTED... CAN I STILL APPLY A DECAL?

Yes! Tint is applied to the inside of your rear window and decals are applied to the outside.

WHAT SHOULDN’T I DO WITH MY DECAL?

Do NOT use ice scrapers on your window decal. Do NOT use abrasives or solvent cleaners on your window decal.

WHAT SUPPLIES TO I NEED TO APPLY THE DECAL?

All you need is the decal, alcohol for cleaning the desired space and a squeegee.

HOW DO YOU SHIP?

Most orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days). Keep in mind that does not include the time it takes to process the order.
